When Ben Harper’s Welcome To The Cruel World was released back in 1994, music fans all over the world immediately recognized the birth of a major talent. His warm voice screams with soul, his songwriting tends more towards the folkier side of things and his guitar and weissenborn playing are pure blues. Those many sides of Ben’s musicianship allowed him to release many albums that sound very different from each other, accompanied by the funk band The Innocent Criminals, the rock band Relentless 7 or as a solo artist.
