Ferdinando Carulli
Compared with the piano or even the cello, the guitar has a relatively little repertoire of classical music to perform. However, a few composers dealt with the constraints of the instrument and produced the body of works that every serious player has to master. The Italian composer of the nineteenth century Carulli added more than 400 pieces to the repertoire and even wrote a guitar method that is still being published and studied.
