Pat Metheny

Pat Metheny is the chameleon of jazz. Since 1977 and the formation of his famous Trio, he has explored the possibilities of every kind of guitar, whether it be in a solo context or as part of an ensemble. He improvised on six and twelve string electrics (Ibanez mainly), steel and nylon string acoustics, synth guitars, baritones and the incredible 42-string Pikasso guitar. His musicality in every note makes him the leading musician in fusion and the most visible to a large audience.
