Although Audioslave was born from the ashes of the two most influential bands of the nineties (singer Chris Cornell from Soundgarden and the Rage Against The Machine rhythm section, complete with stunt guitarist Tom Morello), it managed to stay relevant making twenty-first century music and developing a more sensitive side to their pachydermic vintage rock. The supergroup finally decided to call it quits in 2007 after three chart-topping albums.
