The early 2000s produced a handful of hugely talented British indie bands, among them the Kaiser Chiefs. Les Paul wielding guitarist Andrew White is a genius of big brash sounds resulting in layers of carefully arranged parts, and shows a deep melodic sense when taking the occasional solo. The 2007 hit single Ruby is a textbook case of a very well crafted rock song.
