Allegretto Opus 30 Solo Guitar
The guitar has not always been such a desirable instrument : back in the nineteenth century, the piano was the ideal support to display one’s virtuosity. It took the talent and courage of someone like the Italian virtuoso and composer Mauro Giuliani to bring the six strings to the forefront. He also played the more traditional cello but chose the guitar to play with the finest composers and musicians in Europe at the time. Our instrument owes a lot to that choice.
