The vast majority of teenagers who picked up a guitar in the nineties did it thanks to Nirvana. The grunge trio led by singer / guitarist Kurt Cobain inspired a whole generation with its hyper energetic riffs, catchy melodies and great songwriting. Their second album, Nevermind (1991) sold over 30 million copies and still represents the perfect fusion of punk, hard rock and Beatles-like pop.
