Arthur Hamilton
Back in the fifties, before the Beatles decided that an artist should write their own songs, songwriting used to be a full-time job, and the ones who wrote were not the ones who sang. American pianist Arthur Hamilton wrote his fair share of timeless tunes, such as Sing A Rainbow and He Needs Me, but he will always be thought of as the man behind Cry Me A River. Famous renditions include Ella Fitzgerald, Sammy Davis Jr., Ray Charles, Barbra Streisand and Aerosmith, but the list keeps on growing.
