Blind Melon Blind Melon
The early nineties were a time of rediscovery. After ten years of drum machines and synthesizers, musicians started to strip down their arrangements and the guitar regained its place. With their multi-million selling 1992 eponymous debut, the Californian band Blind Melon achieved commercial success with a very personal acoustic psychedelic take on alternative rock. The solid strumming of Christopher Thorn perfectly supports Roger Stevens’ electric fills, but the untimely death of singer Shannon Hoon put an end to the ride after two albums only.
