Dionisio Aguado
The nineteenth century was a time of discovery of the guitar’s full potential as an instrument for composing and a great way to display virtuosic moves. The superhuman left-hand extensions required to play the pieces of Spanish composer and player Dionisio Aguado still haunt many a contemporary player’s dreams. He was a close friend of Fernando Sor’s and wrote a method that remains available and valid to this day, not a mean feat for a book written almost 200 years ago.
