Eric Johnson Ah Via Musicom
In 1990, a new player arrived in the guitar hero V.I.P. club: Eric Johnson, immediately crowned thanks to the dizzying instrumental Cliffs Of Dover. He was not the first bluesman to come from Texas, but definitely the most original. He makes a Strat sound like a violin, and his fastest licks are like lava flowing through a Marshall amp. Twenty years later, nobody has managed to crack the code and his fantastic sound and playing remain a mystery.
