Graeme Allwright
It is one thing to cover a song and get a hit with it, but successfully translating songs and building a career out of it is another story altogether. Graeme Allwright was born in New Zealand but lived in France and managed to bridge the gap between those two languages and their respective music. He introduced artists like Leonard Cohen, Tom Paxton and Pete Seeger to the folk-loving French audience without betraying their original brilliance, and brought a whole generation to the fingerpicked guitar.
