Joe Pass
Joe knew all the chords: the italo-american jazz genius knew more chords shape than anybody else, and perfectly knew how to use them to create stunning chord melodies. He started off playing for TV Orchestras and as a sideman for the likes of Sinatra or Sarah Vaughan, then in the seventies collaborated with guitarist Herb Ellis and recorded six albums with singer extraordinaire Ella Fitzgerald. To this day, his trademark moustache and Gibson ES-175 remain a vital part of jazz guitar history.
