Joseph Kosma
The musical, cinematic and literary milieus don’t mix that often, but once in a blue moon a collaboration comes along and proves that nothing beats two great talents put together. When Joseph Kosma moved from Budapest to Paris, he met Jacques Prévert, who wrote the lyrics to a melody Kosma had composed as the soundtrack for a movie, thus creating the ultimate jazz standard, Autumn Leaves (originally Les Feuilles Mortes).
