Juan Habichuela
It’s hard to believe that Juan Carmona, later to become Habichuela, didn’t actually start as a guitar player. He learned how to dance at age 9, and finally took up the six string at 14, an age at which most major players are already playing concerts. But hard work and the rhythm skills acquired through dancing allowed him to develop very fastly and he took to the stage only two years later. Since then, he has accompanied the most gifted singers of the flamenco milieu.
