Lamb of God
When Dimebag Darrel was shot in 2004, all hope of a Pantera reformation disappeared with him. The world of power metal needed a new band to bring huge crushing riffs to the audience, and that’s when the Virginia band Lamb Of God became the new reference. Powered by the dual assaults of blues-influenced guitarist Mark Morton and shredder Willie Adler, the albums Ashes Of The Wake (2004) and Wrath (2009) have become classics.
