Leonard Cohen
Very few singer / songwriters can reach the level of poetic intensity and musicianship that made Leonard Cohen famous. After an unsuccessful carrer as a writer in his native Canada, he moved to the US in 1967 and became a folksinger. His poetry became his lyrics, perfectly delivered by Cohen’s deep monotonous voice and a dry nylon-string guitar as the main background element. Fifty five years later, he is still exploring that universe.
