Manuel de Falla
To become an accomplished composer is one thing, but to go as far as having your face on a banknote is another level of recognition altogether. Manuel De Falla is a Spanish national treasure : he first became a virtuoso on the piano, then learned his craft writing in France, but still keeping close to his spanish folk roots. His most famous works include El Amor Brujo and El Sombrero De Tres Picos (in 1917, including costumes by Picasso !).
