Marcus Miller
Marcus Miller is arguably the most famous bass player there is, and one of the very few that plays to crowded concert halls under his own name and not accompanying some hit singer. He did work as a sideman for the greatest, and was part of Mile Davis’ band in the eighties. He even co-wrote three albums with the great trumpeteer including Tutu. He plays in the percussive slap style with unequalled dexterity but his finesse and taste for complex harmony is what sets him apart.
