It was virtually impossible to turn on the radio in the summer of 2007 without hearing the Plain White T’s massive hit Hey There Delilah. With a recipe very close to the way Green Day approaches the punk pop ballad, they struck gold with the perfect single, led by the impeccable acoustic strumming of singer and songwriter Tom Higgenson. The following singles (1,2,3,4, Rhythm Of Love) did pretty well but Delilah remains to be topped.
