Radiohead
The Oxford band played an enormous part in defining what pop would sound in the 21st century. Starting with the 1992 single Creep, they released Ok Computer to an unsuspecting world in 1997 and changed the game for everyone, mixing perfect songwriting by Thom Yorke and weird guitar noises or Ondes Martenot by Jonny Greenwood. Since then, they released two albums of electronic music, showed the way to online distribution and there’s probably a lot more to come.
