The Red Hot Chili Peppers have come an amazingly long way since their early-eighties debut, selling more than eighty million albums and still touring arenas around the world. They started out as a psychedelic funk outfit, and moved on to include more pop and rock influences to their 1991 breakthrough album, Blood Sugar Sex Magik. The Hendrix-influenced guitar parts by John Frusciante contributed a lot to the band’s unique sound.
