The Delmore Brothers
The Grand Ole Opry is the ultimate country venue, and many stars started a huge career by appearing on that stage and the radio show that was recorded there. In the 1930s, the Delmore Brothers Alton and Rabon were darlings of the Opry, and with the unique harmony only their voices could produce it’s easy to understand why. But they were also a great composing team, and they wrote such classics as Freight Train Boogie and Gonna Lay Down My Old Guitar.
