The Pixies Surfer Rosa
In only seven years, from 1986 to their breakup in 1993, the East Coast band The Pixies has become a true alt rock legend. With the vicious Telecaster riffs and brillant songwriting of Franck Black, and the turtuous leads of Joey Santiago, they took Europe by storm and released two landmark albums, Surfer Rosa and Doolittle. They reunited in 2004 and have been touring on and off since then, but they haven’t released a new album since 1990’s Trompe Le Monde.
