70's - Songbook
The seventies were a time of excess in every possible domain, and the music did not escape that tendency, sometimes for worse but mostly for better. Ballads were deep and heartbreaking (The Rolling Stones, Kansas), legendary riffs were created (AC/DC, Deep Purple), songs were ambitious and intricate (Jethro Tull, Queen, Led Zeppelin) and extended guitar solos were still a socially acceptable way to end a song (The Eagles, ZZ Top, Santana). And of course, Duane Allman was still alive and his amazing slide playing graces both Jessica and Layla in that very special songbook.
