Matteo Carcassi Songbook
Italian virtuoso Matteo Carcassi was a stunning guitar player back in the 19th century, but he was also a great composer and, from what those Etudes reveal, a very gifted teacher. The Etudes Op. 60 consists in 25 songs ranging from fairly basic to very challenging, allowing the student to progressively develop their skills without being scared off by impossible moves. That method was written in 1836, published in 1851, and here it is in its entirety for you to get crackin’ on it. And you get the March Opus 59 as a bonus!
