Juan Gomez “Chicuelo” is part of the flamenco boom that granted many dazzling guitarists an access to a wider audience. The catalan master Chicuelo has set himself apart from the pack by collaborating with various artists in very different settings, whereas most flamenco players of the 70s and 80s stuck with a single singer and dancer. He is the musical director for several companies and has played with several singers, including Poveda and Maria Del Mar Bonet on the 2007 album Diapason.
