The Counting Crows are one of the few early-nineties band that made it through. Nobody died, they didn’t split up only to make a big reunion two years later, and after six albums (including the million-selling debut August And Everything After) they are still standing and performing their folky brand of indie rock. Dan Vickrey is the epitome of the quiet guitar player that holds everything together, and his tele licks are always tasteful as can be.
