The art of flamenco is quite ancient (dating from at least the 18th century) and therefore has never really been out of fashion. In the seventies, while the world was discovering hard rock and punk, a wave of amazing flamenco virtuosos appeared in the wake of the superstar Sabicas. Among them was Jose Jimenez El Viejin, who dazzled audiences with his technique and the inventivity of his own pieces, which have been transcribed since then for the flamenco guitarists of tomorrow.
