Misty Jazz Trio

- Erroll Garner
In the fifties, BeBop was the hottest thing in jazz, and the swing piano playing of Erroll Garner was already anachronistic in its own time. But his unique personality and amazing virtuosity made him transcend those fads and he even wrote one of the greatest standards there is, the 1954 ballad Misty. The song was sung by Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald, but it became a household classic with the 1971 Clint Eastwood movie Play Misty For Me.
