In spite of a hand injury that has prevented him from playing since 1980, Cuban composer keeps on writing pieces for the guitar blending elements of the traditionnal Cuban music with modern classical music. As a player, he learned his craft in Cuba, in the USA and in Germany, and as a composer he wrote for orchestras, strings and several guitars but his guitar solos remain his most popular pieces.
