The phrase “one hit wonder” has rarely been as spot-on as when it comes to New York’s hard rock band Ram Jam. In 1977, they released their first single off their first self-titled album, and Black Betty became a worldwide hit. To this day, their epic cover of a very short blues song by Leadbelly remains a classic rock requisite. Bill Bartlett’s amazing guitar parts definitely have a lot to do with that.
