When Skid Row released their first album back in 1989, glam metal was a California thing first and foremost, led by band such as Mötley Crüe. But the New Jersey band fronted by the charismatic Sebastian Bach hit the big time with the support of fellow Jerseyite Jon Bon Jovi. The second album Slave To The Grind went on to become a metal classic, propelled by the dual guitar stylings of Dave Sabo and Scotti Hill.
