When guitarists evoke the British glam rock period of the early seventies, they usually mean Mick Ronson (who played in David Bowie’s band) and Marc Bolan (T. Rex frontman), but Dave Hill deserves to be mentioned in the same breath. He was the lead guitarist for Slade, a band that dressed in a very weird fashion but rocked as hard as any of their contemporaries. Songs like Mama Weer All Crazee Now and Cum On Feel The Noise definitely live on.
