The top hat, the dangling cigarette butt, the massive hair, the tattoos, the Les Pauls, the snakes… Slash has brought the guitar hero back in fashion in the late eighties, when everyone thought they were a dying breed. After a ten-year stint as Axl Rose’s mysterious sparring partner in Guns n’ Roses, he formed the bands Slash’s Snakepit and Velvet Revolver, but eventually released his first proper self-titled solo album in 2010.
