Back in 2002, the eponymous debut album by British band The Coral started a lasting movement. They brought the guitar back as a lead instrument with the Mustang-infused playing of Bill Ryder Jones, who eventually left the band in 2008. Their first album, mostly souding like updated psychedelic rock, gave way to a more acoustic and reflective follow-up, and The Coral has been exploring those two sides of their musical personae since then.
